Michael Ray Little Band: Home
Music - The universal language, isn't it the truth? In every tiny corner of our beautiful planet, it is music that helps people get through their day, their night, their struggle. We unconsciously rely on music. In short, we are all wired to attract the vibration. We need it. Some of us actually get to write and create music. For us, the band, there is nothing more rewarding than creating stories with words and rhythms. For our latest effort, "Star Crossed & All That Jazz" we entered into the project without a preconceived notion of where we were going or how we would get there. For the most part, the songs were concocted on the spot in our tiny studio. We resisted the temptation to alter what we had just recorded. We did not want to polish the songs until they became something else. We rather enjoyed what we had just given birth to. It is amazing to come together as five different personalities and spontaneously feel the same vibration. One moment there is nothing - an hour later there is new music in the air and in the can. Something that did not exist - now does. It is probably the same for the carpenter, the architect, the painter. It is cool and we are so thankful that we get to do it. Well someone has to.
What we do is create stories with rhythms. We hope they make you feel good. We hope they take you away for awhile, and stay with you even longer. Isn't the real meaning of success making someone feel better? When you listen to our music, hug somebody - and all that jazz
